Day Camps

Greater Cleveland’s quintessential day camp experience expands with extended coed week option and theme-based preschool camps.
For decades, University School’s Day Camp has been the place for boys to develop skills and forge friendships that extend well beyond the summer months. From morning swims to afternoon sporting competitions to on- and off-campus adventures – boys are learning, team-building, and having tons of fun over the six-week program. We now offer an extended seventh- and eighth-week option for younger boys and girls to cap their summer. Our youngest campers can join us for up to three weeks of day camp with adventures inside and outdoors that guarantee a unique journey of discovery.

Our programs are designed to create an environment where our campers have fun and thrive!

In its 99th year, our Boys Day Camp proves good things do last! The camp is a place where your son will learn teamwork, sportsmanship, athletic and non-athletic skills, and pride in a job well done. We have a tradition of combining fun and educational activities for an unmatched summer experience. Our focus on small group sizes and a 6-to-1 camper-to-staff ratio ensures a great experience for the boys!

We know boys, and we create an environment where they thrive. Campers swim twice each day (instructional and free swim). Tennis instruction is included in the older groups’ programs. Younger groups focus on nature and the outdoors. The extensive indoor and outdoor facilities of the Shaker Heights Campus provide the setting for these exciting, challenging, and fun activities. Field trips are recreational and educational.

Counselors are experienced teachers with college and high school assistants. Our assistants are chosen based on their accomplishments as students and leaders within their own schools. Many were former campers who want to give back to the program they loved as children.

The Boys Day Camp is a full six-week program open to US and non-US students. Because of the limit in group sizes, be sure to register early for this popular camp. Before-camp and after-camp care are available.
